Japanese crossword «Imperial Walker»

I worked with a handful of Star Wars superfans some years back, and they had a long-standing argument over the pronunciation of "AT-AT." Some say it should be pronounced as it looks; "at at." Others think that, since it is a group of letters, it should be pronounced the same way you would pronounce C-3PO or R2-D2; namely, "ay-tee-ay-tee." I don't think the true answer will ever be found.
