How dare you call Piplup a "blue bird"

Uh… hmm. Was excited as I realized it would likely be piplup, as he was my first starter and therefore a forever fav of mine. But… the end result is pretty muddy, in a way that really looks like the sprite got put into a software that creates pixel art for you out of images you submit… and even tho the sprite is already pixel art, this seems to be a version with less colors, which is where the muddiness comes in. There’s just things about this that don’t look like human decisions in where to place certain pixels/areas of color. Like the light blue on top of the eye, where there is originally some grey shading. Or the random blue pixel inside the beak. And just in general the patches of different shades of blue seem… off. Apologies if you did actually convert this by hand, but it’s kind of hard to believe that is the case…
