I rather enjoyed it. Didn't know what it was until nearly completed.

Mm, I agree with Me (lol) - colors are kinda ugly. Not in an of themselves, but as a set - the mauve and bright yellow, especially. The image itself is boring, and what's with the bottom-right corner? Why lose the symmetry there? Looks weird...

Why does a wall clock need such a large base?

It's an extraterrestrial clock, maybe from Neptune, where a day only has 16 hours...

It's not a wall clock--it's the kind that sits on the mantel. Sixteen hours in a day, or forty minutes in an hour?
