Japanese crossword «Crab»

The two rust colours,as well as the dark brown and black are impossible to tell apart on a MacBook screen.

The colors are way too hard to tell apart, and the picture isn't anywhere near good enough to justify the use of such similar colors. It made solving tedious and irritating.

As Ruru said, "this picture isn't anywhere near good enough to justify the use of such similar colors". Had to strain my eyes and constantly use the check crossword button to make sure I used the right color.

Colors aren't terrible to distinguish but were a bit difficult. The picture doesn't really look like a crab, though.

The colors were a bit difficult to distinguish a first. I was able to adjust and enjoyed completing this puzzle.

I liked doing the puzzle. It was hard at times to tell apart the different colors, and you have to squint your eyes a bit to tell the difference. It is very symmetrical so you can guess for the majority of the puzzle if you have one side down.

I quite like the image. It is certainly very abstract and not a very realistic looking crab but I think it looks OK. Personally, I did find the browns to be very similar in shade but I could tell them apart.

I didn't have too much trouble with the colors, but I totally understand how other people could have. Third-ing Ruru's comment - no need for so much mottling on this guy. Ironically, it probably would've looked more like a crab if only 1 or 2 brighter orange colors had been used.

If I looked at it at a slight angle, it made the colours a bit easier to distinguish on my screen.

Honestly, it seems like the colors in the puzzle don't match the colors in the selector. I'm sure it's an optical illusion, but it added to the difficulty. Still, enjoyed it, and like the pic very much.

Not even going to follow through and complete this one due to lack of contrast between colours. I do not often abandon a puzzle.

I didn't have any trouble distinguishing the colors. But if you do, the "click on numbers to select colors" option can be helpful.

Eh. Artistically, the puzzles (like this one) with two or more similar colors are great, but for solving it really isn't the best choice. Impossible to solve in a brightly lit room.

love the pic, but hate my pc right now. it changed the colours to something almost indistiguishable. Reseting my screen now...

not bothering with - THREE so similar colors is ridiculous

Nice design, but it was really hard to tell the colors apart, especially with night shift on my computer.

I have a headache now from trying to tell color #1 from color #2.

Very grotesque, and yeah, it doesn't look great to me. I would have appreciated some more effort going into this puzzle.
