Makes a lot more sense as a parrot than a duck sitting on a green nest, took me a minute.
That is terrifying, until you read the title. And then, it's so ridiculously obvious. I have one of these--same colors and everything, even down to the blue dots--right behind my head this very minute!

And by the way, the one in the puzzle is a male. Only parakeet owners will know why!

I'm not a bird-owner but I'm curious now! Is it because of the blue thingies? Or the cyan-blue beak?

It is because of the cere, which is the area around the nostrils, above the bird's beak. While of course there are sometimes some variations, in general an adult male's cere will be bright blue, while a female's will be beige, white, pink, or brown. My green/yellow parakeet has a bright blue cere just like this one, while my pale yellow/blue parakeet has a pale cere so I know she's female.

Not often the guesses go from cactus to Ninja Turtle, and end up something else entirely. Thank you for the surprise.

Cute! Started from the top and thought it was going to be a minion at first.
Until the end I was convinced that this was an alien inside an flying saucer.
