Japanese crossword «Matcha Boba»

Cool picture, but the puzzle itself was boring to solve. There was no logic involved; it was simply a matter of counting spaces. A bit of white here and there would have made it more interesting to solve.

I wonder what it is. The title isn't helpful either.

The picture was great, and I enjoyed the solving, but most of the difficulty came from the very beginning and from trying to see the lightest green on my screen against a white background. Terribly sorry that most of the comments on this puzzle are criticisms. It is genuinely a good picture.

I had trouble with the similar colors on my monitor, too. And the single pixel counting was tedious.

this would be easier to solve if this site had a dark mode

Checkerboards just take up time and produce eye-strain. They don't make puzzles an interesting challenge, just an irritation. And they don't really add anything to the beauty of the finished picture that you can't achieve with other effects.
