If I realize that I've benefited from miscounting, I usually use ALT-Z (so glad somebody mentioned that once) to backtrack to where I made the mistake (which wasn't actually a mistake, but it was...). Then, even though I know what the correct marking is, I don't let myself use it until I figure it out logically. But if I don't realize I made the mistake and don't know I've benefited...

I do the same thing when I make a mistake. I pretend I never saw it. I do every puzzle logically.

I’m the same in that even if I can reasonably guess which tiles to fill to make a contiguous picture, I’ll hold off on them until I can logically prove that they are correct.

The way that I started this during the 3/4 of completing it, I thought it was a little girl jumping rope. Then I finish the bottom part and it wasn't. haha
