Japanese crossword «Bear with tops»

I really enjoyed doing this (for me) large nono, because the patterns were so interesting and the white space was so cleverly used. One piece led into another--I enjoyed it! however, I am not familiar with the subject in the final picture...need to upgrade my knowedge of folklore maybe?
