I found this one rather challenging. The symmetry was helpful.
replyFound this one hard to get started, but it was definitely interesting and fun to do.
replyReally hard to get started! After that it flowed smoothly.

I don't "test" for difficulty when I'm making them... once it's published though, I work through it completely using logic, and I agree, this one was a royal pain to find where to start (lots of x's before the first colored square was entered)

I clicked the color key squares and filled the rows with x's and then filled in the x's that turned red and added color as I went.

no it isn't, it's a H E C K E R ' S S E C R E T M O V E so use it wisely.
replyI actually found it easy to start, I looked at it logically and thought how the brown color squares worked around the grays, then it all came together. It was fun to solve.
replyI have to admit I did most of this one through intuition rather than logic. It was VERY hard!
replyVery tough to start, but took off from there!
Logically it can be solved :)
replyLogically it can be solved :)
I guess I got lucky and started in the right corner, nice, thanks
replyLike others I found this challenging to get started but that was half the fun! Enjoyable!
replyVery difficult, but somehow managed to complete it logically without hints.

One X at a time gets you there... that was the best challenge I've had in a long time - and the right amount of frustration before it opens up and you can finish it.
replyA couple of false starts but fortunately I had found the best place, for me, to start and then it was pretty smooth going. Thank you!
replyLove a good under 5 min puzzle, and this one was really cool!
replyExtremely difficult... really takes a different type of logic than most puzzles... you really have to just try things out, and look a couple of steps ahead to figure out what doesn't work. The comment I saw pointing out symmetry also helped, as when you finally figure something out in one direction, it tends to work out in the other.
replyNo idea how that "average time to solve" comes out to be 6 minutes. Took me 37 (no hints/guesses). I must be missing something, but I think this is harder than the current 3 stars difficulty, a 3.5 at least. Very hard to start as others have mentioned.
replyI did the brown first. It was very easy. And totally wrong.
replyVery difficult to start but very interesting, no hint, thank's
