This picture is adorable but I hated this puzzle and I don't think it is the fault of the artist - I've found him to be very creative and skilled. The white tiles are exactly the same shade of my screen. No differentiation at all and it was hard to track where they were done. I looked in the settings to see if I could change the background color and I could not find anything that helped. I was able to complete the puzzle. At the end I checked each row to make sure all was completed. I couldn't see a link to ask questions. If anyone has advise on how to make changes to solve this issue that would be very helpful. It is a great puzzle but the problems with the white color made it not enjoyable at all.

You might have some luck with changing the color of the lines between each tile using the Crossword design settings. It won't change the color palette the author used but it might make it easier to differentiate between the colors. You can also scroll to the bottom of the settings menu under Experimental functions and tick the "use your palette while solving color crosswords" box. You'll have to manually change all the colors though so it's a big pain.
