Welcome, new artist! This was really fun, and I hope you'll stick around.
replyThanks for a very recognizable picture. I hope to see more from you.
replyWonderful construction. Another example of less being more when it comes to color puzzles. The darkest blue is quick to place, but it gives very little away about the rest of the puzzle. A solid amount of logic is required to navigate the rest of the grid, and the figure's 'outline' (for lack of a better term) poses a challenge unlike so many puzzles that use a solid black for the same purpose.
The image is simple and effective. The subject lends itself well to a small grid. Even with the limited space, the artist has done a nice job of conveying a sense of movement. The extra pixel in the mouth, while a minute detail, is perhaps the best part of the puzzle. It's the little extra dash of spice that really connects a solver to the artist's vision. Very nice.

I did a 16x16 ghost for Halloween, but it never got past the moderators. I thought perhaps it was too abstract, but it is not as abstract as this ghost. I don't understand their decisions sometimes, and they won't explain them. Anyway, I show mine here...

I would have liked to do that one. Very interesting angles on it. I may have commented that it looks like the ghost of a turtle, but I guess we'll never know now ;-)

Yeah, I would have liked to do it too! They don't let creators solve their own puzzles before posting them, at least, not on their site. They give you the numbers, so you could do it by hand, but I only consult the numbers occasionally to make sure it is hard enough. So I have to go on instinct to know how hard I've made it; that and submitting each many times to get it just barely the point of solvability.

For me, that extra pixel is a confusing distraction. It's not connected to the rest of the mouth, so was the rest of the mouth really a long nose and this single pixel the mouth? Or did the ghost eat something that is either hanging out of its mouth or dribbled down its chin?
Certainly tricky for its size. I do wish that pepega_clap stuck around for more puzzles after seeing this one. Quite a bit of talent!
