Crud. The spoiler tag didn't work. Can it be added after posting? Although seriously, Is "nuhnuh" going to ruin it?

mpbrockman, I think most of us have made that mistake at least once. And yeah, I doubt very much that your response is going to ruin it for somebody!

we called it a cork because it keeps the cries from falling out, nice, thanks

I have found most most of Elliese's puzzles to be weak at best. Symmetrical, paint-by-numbers, style over substance. This one was refreshing in both its subject matter and the quality of the construction. While this is far from a difficult puzzle, it does require critical thinking from start to finish. Much more enjoyable than the rest of this constructor's catalog.
This image is well realized. The angle makes the subject fresh, and the diagonal orientation contributes to a more thoughtful solve. A simple, clean image is sometimes the best way to go, and Elliese makes full use of the no-frills approach by delivering nice shading and contrast.
We call this item a 'Lovey.'

@ultracritical: I don't know why it was important to you that you insult the creator rather than just delivering positive feedback on this puzzle by itself. Unless you are friends with the artist and this is an inside joke, your comment is an unnecessarily back-handed "compliment" that contributes more negativity than useful criticism.

Hi, SpiralSlice. I can see how you may have interpreted my comment as being bank-handed, but that was not my intention. My compliments on the above puzzle were all genuine. My criticisms of this creator's other works were also genuine. Maybe bluntly so. I choose which puzzles I comment on based on my ability to deliver criticism while also finding equal aspects of the puzzle I find enjoyable. It may sound harsh, but this is the only Elliese puzzle where I had much positive to say. Rather than pretend this puzzle existed in a vacuum, I used the opportunity to critique what I disliked about other works while still being able to provide a positive spin. I believe I succeeded as the positive comments outweigh the negative. I don't believe anything I said was directly insulting. (1/2)
reply(2/2) My first sentence perhaps was negative, but it gives readers a frame of reference for my opinion on the current puzzle. ‘Symmetrical’ and ‘paint-by-numbers’ are accurate descriptors for most of Elliese's puzzles. ‘Style over substance’ is subjective, but that’s as nice a way to say it as any. By touching on what I consider failings in previous works, I can better highlight the aspects of this puzzle that succeeded. In that regard, everything I said was potentially useful criticism. The only true judge of that is the creator. I would certainly be interested in hearing their feedback. Unfortunately, they only comment on the .ru version of the site. Have a nice day!
replyWe all come to this site for various reasons. Mine is to look for a fun outlet from a grueling day.
We can't understand this person's motivation, but I assume they need this kind of outlet and I hope it brings them peace.
I appreciate that this site welcomes all, so instead of feeling perturbed by these commentaries, I've chosen to skip their critiques.
I hope that our puzzle creators know that we appreciate their artistry and their time to bring others a little fun. Please don't be discouraged. We treasure you!

What's with all the pacifier images lately? Is there something in popular culture that I've missed, or does one creator have an unhealthy obsession?
