I've seen floral handled hammers. I think it's stupid to have decorated handles, but I wouldn't go so far as saying it sucked. Especially since this is just a Nonogram.

My grandfather (a carpenter by trade) painted his hammer red so he could find it in a hurry at the worksite. This was 100 years ago. So... not stupid, and not new.
