The first part was easy, but the second part stood still for a long time!

I agree with the above, first part was easy took a while to work out where to start on the second part, but once started it all fell into place. different puzzle, good one.
replyAgreed. Quick for the first part and tricky to start the second part. Nice finished puzzle.
replyI really like working puzzles like this. I think they feed my addiction to nonograms. As folks above said, the first part was easy, and I finished quickly with a satisfying rush. The top was hard to get started, which made a similar dopamine rush at the end all the more satisfying.
Now I want another fix... (or maybe I just want to avoid doing the laundry)

I got through the first part easily but was stuck on the second part for a while. Checked the comments to see that it WAS possible to logic out the second part, thought a bit harder, and then figured it out. Very nice, liked this one a lot! :)
replycan somebody explain the logic to start with the second part? I dont understand why the hint fills the first 4 boxes of the third to last column

I find that the hints don't often correspond to something that I could have logic'd out myself, unfortunately. I was only able to get a logical start to the second part by considering where a color in a certain row/column could logically start based on the color requirements for intersecting columns/rows. I know that's a vague sort of hint but I don't really know how else to describe it. I did have to take a break and come back to look at it fresh a couple times before it clicked. Definitely tricky to start, but once you get started the rest is very straightforward. :)

The first part preceded the second part, which was easier having completed the first part than if it, second part had been done first. There was no third part, the second part having completed what was left after the first part. I hope I'm at least as clear as the rest of the comments here.
replyI stopped doing smallboss because they were all 'characters'..but now I will start again!!!
replyVery nice little picture, of an unusual topic. Thank you.
