Never heard of it either, but wikipedia says that's what it looks like. Seems to be all over, in Poland they pickle them? Interesting.

Perhaps the Wikipedia entry has changed since 2019, but my research tells me that pâtisson is French for what we call pattypan squash, which is similar to zucchini (aka courgette), but a different shape. It's one of the cucurbita species.

I was thinking green heirloom tomato but I can see squash as well. I like the colors.
