I'm afraid that, for me, when the shading gets too ambitious I lose the picture.

Lovely picture. I thought this might be another extinct beast, a carnivore from Tasmania, but they both had stripes and long heads.

Knowing this is a series of extinct animals, I thought it might be a thylacine, but nope! I've never even heard of this one! Learned something new today.
