More specifically a caterpillar of the common yellow swallowtail or Papilio machaon. You know it is a good image when the species can be recognized!

Good picture, not a good puzzle, too many single pixels. A fork in the twig at 5-10 would have made a solid line from top to bottom, giving a starting point for pixel counting other than the obvious bottom end row.

The picture was recognizable, and honestly not that hard. Sure, there weren't any full rows, but starting with the right side of the bottom row, I soon got a Yankee outline. The single pixels weren't difficult, but switching between colors was tedious.
