I don't usually like puzzles edged in black, but this one works well.

It's a whole lot of counting. You find a row that if you count in from the edges over laps in the middle and the places where it overlaps has to be the colour you're looking for. For example, the brown in this puzzle is only in a very small area, you have a stretch of the brown that's four wide, and it can only be inside of a five wide area, so if you count in you know exactly where three of the browns have to be. You do this with as many as you can, and then you rule out places where things can't be based on what you've put in. Once you've marked out places where things can't be you should have brought in the edges of where things can be a little bit, and you just keep repeating this until you've figured out the one place where the colours actually go.
