"Burgeon" as a noun meaning "bud" or "sprout" is obsolete in modern English. I am well-read and over 60 and had never seen or heard it before. It's often used as a verb, though, meaning to grow or swell.

I have trouble with distinguishing between reds, especially with Arina's puzzles for some reason, and so I'm VERY happy to see that this one has black vs. white numbers for the two shades. Thank you! (And yes, I've tried adjusting my monitor, which helped with the greens but not the reds.)
