Oh, it's a Russian-language rebus--a word puzzle. If you do a search for "rebus" you can find PoINOvik's previous examples and directions for finding a solution. S/he's done at least one in English (which has to be a real accomplishment for someone who doesn't speak it as a first language!)
Once the English-language people actually figured out the clues for a Russian-language rebus--of course it made absolutely no sense in English, but I was sure impressed! Since then PoINOvik has been careful to note the language of the puzzle in the title. :)

1. Translate into Russian the word «ostrich» (страус) and subtract from the word the last two letters (two commas after the picture asks to do so). Receives СТРА
2. Translate into Russian the word «wine glass» (фужер) and take it from the third letter (the number «three» asks to do it). Receives Ж
