Time consuming with all the ones, but I never got stuck. Great picture in the end. Only took me 3 hours. :)
replyMade from a real photo, isn't it? Yeah, picture's nice and all, but realistic shading has the annoying tendency of "these 2 colours look identical but - hahaha - they are not!"
If we'd unify all of them into "all colours are distinct" we'd be left with 3...5 colours instead of the current 8

Very nice. Yes, a little tedious with all the color changes, but I think that's what makes it a challenge! Keep it up with the shaded coloring, if some people don't like it, then they shouldn't do the puzzle!
replyI don't mind changing colours all the time. I mind having to use the cheat button to tell if I used the right colour. I'm not sure that the effect justifies 8 different shades. 5 or 6 would still give impressive results, but would give better odds of knowing if you used the right colour without having to hit "check the crossword" every time you put a new colour down.
replyLovely picture and a great challenge. On my screen some shades were very close and it was a bit of a hit and miss sometimes. Once you get your eye tuned to the shade it gets easier. Thanks of a great puzzle.
replyThe only challenge in this one is to pick the riht color.
The depiction simply does not warrant 8 shades of grey.

not even going to try with eight shades of gray looking pretty much the same
replyWooow...really cool but extremely difficult to the grays being so similar.
