A little colour for the birds in the trees would help. They just appear as holes.

One of the best ever! I don't understand everything that appears inside the grandfather's speech balloon. I see the migrating birds, trees with green leaves, but are the other red patches autumn foliage? Or perhaps the red glow of sunrise? Is the other white plus-sign thingie the sun?

So much has been done in such a small space! I love the grandfather's white hair and beard and pointing finger. It didn't all snap into place until I saw the title.
