Japanese crossword «Spelunky»

This is one of those that is a great picture but too many similar colors. It wasn't fun, just tedious
replyI really enjoyed it! A cute image and I had no problem telling the colours apart. You can't please everyone - some people like lots of different colours and others prefer large sections of one colour. Top marks from me!

"---others prefer large sections of one colour."
Your implying that others want it easier, when in fact what at least some of us want is a harder puzzle, this one was dead easy, the only thing masquerading that fact was that there are many colors

i quit! Too many dull and boring colors. Also will probably turn out to be one of those dreary little characters
replyI agree with Buzzbuzz1980. If you select the option "A left click on the number chooses the color" it makes it easy to select the correct color.
Cute picture and lots of fun!
replyCute picture and lots of fun!
The picture is adorable, but unfortunately I have to agree it was fairly tedious (not difficult, just tedious) to solve. It's not fun to have to spend time telling the colors apart from one another (and having one that looks almost white).
replyI liked it. If one color looks almost white, then you need to adjust the color on your monitor, definitely more of a flesh color. And that makes the other colors not "boring".
replySometimes it was hard to apart colors but i like it
replyTedious indeed, this is colour by number, but that doesn't make it a good puzzle, even when the pic is good. It should be with 10 colours.
replyI take it nobody here has played a game called "Spelunky", else they wouldn't be complaining about a game sprite. XD Nice conversion, Nick, at least I know what you posted. ;P
replyIt's a nice picture but I agree with some of the others that the many similar colours made it a bit tedious to solve
replyMany colors is one thing. Dark brown and dark grey and black that are hard to tell apart on the palette are a waste of effort by the time they get on the picture. If there had been only one of those three only a person with a magnifying glass would have been able to tell the difference in the final product.
replyThis may or may not be a reasonable puzzle on a computer. The controls for mobile suck with colors that close together
replyI think this guy is really cute, and I rather enjoyed this puzzle despite my struggle with the similarity of the browns on my computer. My trick is to use the Check the crossword button as I go to make sure I've got the right colour if I'm uncertain.
replySorry, I didn't like it very much. It made me feel like I was back in school, doing homework. Puzzles with more than 4-5 colors need to be real fun to do, because you lose the ability of selecting colors quickly with the left fingers.
replyUnlike others, I really enjoyed this picture. I usually quite struggle with colours being too close to another or to white, but I can't see how that was the case here. I also think the end-product is adorable, and amazingly made.
replyI didn't have too much trouble with the colors and i personally thought it was a very fun solve! It's nice and detailed but still cute <3
