This maybe a fault of my iPad but I found the main difficulty was identifying the correct grey - they are very close.
replyThe greys are VERY close. I just clicked on each one in the margin to make sure it was correct ... very tedious but it worked. I really like the outcome.
reply... OH and I thought this was going to be something else. Boy was I surprised !!!
replyA bit tedious indeed and doable only by guessing BUT very enjoyable nonetheless :D And the result is really great, I like it! Thanks!
replyTook a while to get started. Once I got going it eas a good one.
replyVery nice. No guessing, just logic and thinking several moves ahead.

Read this if you want a hint to get started:
Start with the light blue column with 4 squares. You can logically place 2 of those squares and then logically work out the darker blues and surrounding light grays and blacks. From then on I made the assumption that the object is outlined in black in order to finish it.

Need a telescope to see the difference between those grays

Very difficult! Managed to complete logically and without any hints/spoilers.
Work out the blues easy enough, then focus on laying out all the yellow & oranges. I figured out the yellow/oranges on the far right & bottom first. Then I worked my way up and left to figure out the rest of the yellow/oranges. Some grays can be placed between/around the yellow/oranges as you continue.

Great depiction of shape in a smaller puzzle. Well done!
