Breathtaking. Beautiful. My eyes hurt. Thank goodness I could click on the number to get the color or it would have been impossible. Enjoyable to do.

Thank you for telling me you can click and hold on the number to get the color! It makes it so much easier, thanks so much! <3
replyYour designs are nice but the colors are often way too similar. Also the lightest colors are sometimes too close to white for comfort.
replyI can see the differences in the colours much more clearly if I look at the computer screen from about 30 degrees below perpendicular (ie I tip the laptop screen back until it looks right). Sheryl, I can no longer click a number to choose the colour. Can you suggest how I could get that function back?

I really liked this one. Colors are awfully close which makes it a little harder but definitely makes a better picture.
replyJennifer...go to the settings button to the right of the timer. Takes a bit of looking but you'll find it.
replyVery Beautiful image, it really is pleasing to the eye. Well done!
replyBeautiful, but it was actually pretty unpleasant to do because of the similarities in color :(
replylightest pinks tricky, greens lookedgray straight on, (but nice surprise at angle) lovely overall.
replyIt's a shame that some people have so much trouble distingushing the colours on their screen, because it's the subtle differences in colour that make the picture more realistic and interesting. I, too, depend on the "a left click on the number chooses the colour" option (the second check box in the list of options below the puzzle)

Another really beautiful picture. Fiddly to go, but really worth it. I always know your pictures are going to be lovely, and the subtle colours are part of the reason for that.
replyFor future reference, I discovered (on a later nonogram) that by reducing the contrast and brightness of my display, I could easily distinguish between colors.
replyReally pretty! The shading is wonderful. I think the people who have difficulty with the colors need to realize that it is their device that has a drawback, and not complain about it. The colors show up perfectly on my laptop, and I wouldn't expect them to be as good on something else.
I hope that the artists will continue to make the puzzles the way that they want to make them!

Gorgeous! The shading and subtle colours are what make it interesting.
replyAbsolutely beautiful image and colour scheme. I really like it. Thanks dxh!
Also, big thanks to Sheryl for her tips, I didn't know you could click on the numbers to reveal the colour in the top left colour box, that was a big help!

Very nice, I also had difficulty distinguishing the colours. I know that it varies with your device, but it is also possible for the puzzle designers to choose a mix of white and black numbers in the colour bar, this might help.
Really worth the effort, though, lovely image! Thanks.

Not at all. I have no trouble by doing the puzzles as recommended. While I agree black/white numbering may help, it is not always possible for the designers to do that. IF you don't like the subtle puzzles, why not move on to less realistic ones. This designer's pics are great, and much appreciated by those of us why like subtlety. Sometimes pics made up of all/mostly high contrast colours turn out a looking gaudy and/or infantile. Each to his own, don't blame the designer for user error!
replyi hate when colors are too much alike, makes it not funny anymore...

Then do the brightly coloured ones. Some of us prefer discrete shading, more realistic; softer. Why go to the trouble of giving negative feedback to a great designer, who's more subtle colour palettes are much appreciated by many like me. You didn't pay for it. Look at the palette, see subtle colours, and, instead of hating close it and go look for a high contrast one. How rude to leave neg feedback when you already know you don't like subtle?
Thanks dxh - I'm one who loves the subtle shade effects :)

Very lovely and with many details! You make very good pictures!
replySimple and boring as hell, the only difficulty was the fact that the colours were too much alike and that made it very annoying to solve. Pretty picture tho...

Keep it up dxh, your pictures are beautiful as ever.

The colors may be similar, but that creates more subtle tonality which creates finer pictures. Good effort
replyBeautiful, but doesn't really justify the difficulty rating.
replyThis is a gorgeous picture. I for one am not willing to start monkeying around with the contrast and brightness of my monitor just for nonograms, but the technique of clicking on the number makes all the difference in these puzzles that have subtle shading. I really enjoyed this puzzle but wouldn't have without that option.
replyChallenging - but worthwhile to achieve that stunning shading effect! I wasn't aware of the colour 'cheat' - will have to try that!
replyStunningly beautiful - even if the shades where tricky for me
