What a fabulous puzzle! A real challenge and insoluble without that one different-colored gray square. An unusual angle. So funny! I got a belly laugh!
replyI must be missing something. I can only get 7 squares under the line with ten and 7 under the line with eleven, along with the one darker square. I do not see how I can fill in anything beyond this without guessing.

Here's the next step: You must use the list of light gray squares on the right side in orther to reveal some new tiles
Nice work, Vigil. It was a tough one. Once I started adding in Xs it became a little bit easier. Most of it seemed to be worked from the edges inwards.
replycolours 1 and 3 too similar. pointless having one square of that darker colour. fun angle, simple to do.

No, that one square is key to get started. Besides that, the tip of its tail IS dark! If this is simple you probably had a few lucky guesses.
replyI found a few more on the 2nd from the right. I'm going to try it again to see if I can do it without the hint I used. It's the first time I've ever used a hint!
replyReally well done, very challenging and a lot of fun!
reply[I started by counting and that just confused things, so I started over. I suggest trying to solve the light gray squares, putting in only the darker gray needed to mark the light ones' location (and the very dark gray, which is there to help with the solution). Start with the left and right margins.]

LOVE IT. And quite a challenge. You know when you start a puzzle and right away wonder how there could possibly be enough information to solve it that it's going to be a good one!
replyWell, I'd be hard pressed to call this "rewarding..."
replyWonderful! :D I absolutely loved it! I restrained myself to use only logic deduction to solve it and I finally did! Took me some time but how rewarding it is in the end! Thank you so so much for such a great puzzle!
replyI thought it was a bow of some sort till I read the title. Amusing angle. After the obvious starting points I worked my way with the light grey squares and filling in Xs. It's tough but you can do this without hints. Great mental workout!
replyHardest puzzle I've done yet and so satisfied that I solved it without a hint. It required extra thinking ahead and "if/then" lines of reasoning that most puzzles don't, so it definitely exercised my brain! Funny ending too. Thanks!
replyI loved this because it required some logical thinking without being tedious.
replyGreat tip from Sheryl Hill. The light squares only go half way down. Very enjoyable puzzle.
replyI've never been able to solve such a hard one before, it was kickass tho! thank you for this
replySuch a fun puzzle, I usually only play color puzzles but this puzzle has changed my mind.
replyGood one, difficult but solvable. Multi-color is easier than black and white because of extra moves.

Haha! Surprisingly challenging. The one dark square really is key, but it is solvable without guessing.
replyI relished the challenge of this one! Bravo! And it's a cute little elephant patootie.
replyI really liked the challenge of this puzzle. My grand kids had to tell me it was the tail end.
replyAn excellent and challenging puzzle. You have to use every available clue in order not to start guessing
replyDid it twice, a few weeks apart. Challenging and fun both times. Cute and unexpected picture.
replyI tried doing this puzzle without X's. I did not succeed.
replyAwesome pic :)
Maybe I got lucky but it wasn't THAT hard...
