Japanese crossword «Hat»

Looks more like the sorting hat from Harry Potter.

Title needs ro give a few more specifics or at least some context in order to make the image more recognizable. For example, add "Witch's" to the title.

I think it's perfectly recognizable :) And I think that keeping some mystery in the title is a good thing (if you get to see the title before to solve the puzzle). Anyway, it's fine. Thanks!

My brain sees it as a witch's hat/the Sorting Hat, but I think that's more due to my expectation and interpretation than because it actually resembles a witch's hat/the Sorting Hat. As this is in with the colored puzzles, I expect some shading, or an outline at least. This could have been a black and white puzzle. Not impressed, sorry.

It's definitely a hat of a witch, to me it's clear just from first glance at it.
Regarding colours - well... there are two colours in it and you can see from squares what are they. If someone doesn't like to solve black and grey - why even to start?

Have to laugh at the comments. The black and grey are totally appropriate for the image, and the method of solving is that of a colour puzzle, not a black and white. I think it's a great image. I'll take this any day to some of the gaudy colours I've seen in the colour puzzles.
