spoiler
The name of the fish in the original English movie is Flounder. It's interesting reading all the different choices in dubbing though! https://international-dubbing.fandom.com/wiki/The_Little_Mermaid_(1989_film )
Cute surprise! ^^ But now I'm curious about Robinchen's comment .. Is Flounder called Fabian in other languages? I tried Googling for it but got no answers. I must know! X3
replyIn polish the fish was called Florek, in german - Fabius, in dutch - Botje, in french - Polochon, in icelandic - Flumbri, in japanese - Furanda, in swedish - Blunder. Unfortunatly I didn't found in which language the fish was called Fabian :(

Excellent picture :D Thanks!
Apparently, flounder is a kind of flatfish species, not the name of the fish in the movie ;D
