Bright and charming! I was sure it was a teapot and cup, so it was a nice surprise. These two images are an example of the geometric transformation known as a glide reflection, which is a composite of a translation and a reflection across a line parallel to the direction of the translation. (Yes, I taught a lesson about this today. I also mentioned knitting in the context of translational symmetry.)
