What's with that single dot in a different shade of grey?
replyAh yes! 'Tis the season!
Oh, and the single dot? It's his gift. Easy to place it, so do I first and the others start falling into place. Merry Christmas everyone.

1 dot of a different color? If that's a Christmas gift, is it a present or a lump of coal? :)
replyI think the single dot in slightly different shade could have been used, because without doing it the puzzle would have more than 1 solution. It's just a guess.
replyNew bestseller: 2 Shades of Gray. (Really, that extra gray made this extra confusing.)
replyVery hard to tell what it was. Doesn't look like what it's supposed to be.
replyNot sure what it is supposed to be, but pretty certain that it is a test for colorblindness in Gray scale.
replySometimes the artist needs to set a cell slightly different in order to make sure that there's only one solution. Wonderful piece overall!
replyNunca había visto tantos comentarios por un puzzle. Es el gorro de Santa ligeramente salpicado de nieve. Y los grises se distinguen perfectos (en mi tablet)
replyAlmost missed that one cell with "different" shade of grey. Was it really necessary.
replyI had to come down to the comments to figure out why I couldn't complete the puzzle. Didn't even notice there was a second tone of grey; even if I had, why would I expect it to be ONE random block?? I don't buy the "Christmas Gift" malarkey. If that were the intent, it should have been a black or green square, not another grey just 1 degree lighter... I'm thinking it was an accident when the puzzle was designed that carried over to the website.
replyOh I see... a Santa hat. Now I get it. That lone dot in the slightly lighter shade is confusing. Not everyone's monitor is going to distinguish between the shades
replyPretty hard to see. The white dots seem just distracting
replyI just didn't see it yet. Arina always so good I guess it is my eyes!
replyI didn't need that single special grey square. I was solving it from up down and everything fell into place without that hekp (gift).
replySanta hat crossbreed Ed with Fly Amanita. I had no problem with the Grey's. Nice shading! Enjoined it.
replyI suspect that "single grey square" was a mistake that got corrected. I'm seeing 2 shades of grey used throughout the puzzle, which was fun to solve and a delightful picture.
replyI thought it was fun , sparkly. there must be many changes in colors depending on the monitor you use, thanks
replyDid this puzzle change? There are two shades of grey, but each of them have a few blocks. No single dot...
