Realizing some of this is possibly cultural but... 1)I see no point to the boarder. In the main body the color scheme is too similar making it aggravating and in final picture boring. Even looking up the title I still don't get the point of the design.

is it just me or does part of this look like a pineapple?

Two shades of green that cannot be distinguished. And since there's no reason this is not a black and white puzzle except to play with shading that is extraneous to the solution, the colors really need to be more distinct.
