Isn't it a shame to get old. Too feeble to run far and not strong enough to attack.

I had micro-infestations of black widows two different times. The first time, I freaked out and used poisons all over. The second time I had by then learned that they really don't cause much damage, so I let them be. They got really bad the year I was working major overtime--would leave in the morning and return after midnight--and would open my door, turn on the light, see three widders in their webs by my television...and just sigh and go to bed.

My spouse is allergic to these, so it's my job to catch, smash, or otherwise get them out of the house. Ick. Though I love to put them on my outside plants. They kill all the little bugs.

The top web was definitely the trickiest part; solving the bottom gave me almost no clues to figuring it out. Or, perhaps, I simply must train more to spot them. Either way, superb picture.
