Tricky enough that I had to use Xs. I like the artist very much. Puzzles are unique and tricky.

I have no idea of the process pf creating a puzzle. In which phase of the creation does the artist decide how difficult or tricky it will be? Or does she/he know it until the process is finished?
I agree, this artist's puzzles get high on my to do list.
Thank you, ShandorLa!

According to Mr. Wonderful, who created a few puzzles, it isn't easy to get a good puzzle to fall into even the medium category. He thinks those who do tiny and small puzzles are sheer genius.
Per a previous conversation with the Yorkshire man, I wonder if this falls into the gossip category.

"it isn't easy to get a good puzzle to fall into even the medium category" -- does he mean that they're usually more difficult, or less? (I'll wait while you ask.)

OK, it was hard for him to design a puzzle that was unique, worth designing (because he thinks the artwork should speak to you) and small enough that users would want to do it.
