You really can't solve Gor_WM's puzzles without knowledge of Russian. Somebody once explained one of them to me. It was kind of neat!

I have not the faintest what it is but it did take me a long time to complete. Maybe its an enigma wrapped up in a riddle wrapped up as a brain teaser.

The answer to the rebus is a riddle: "В лавке пятак, не вынешь никак" — "5 cents in a bench (inside the wood), no way of taking it out". The answer to the riddle is "сук" — a bough or a very thick branch. If a tree has a bough on the place which is taken for making a wooden plank/board, the board will have a special "pattern": wavy stains around a circle, which is a base of that bough
