It could or could not still be just one. Which, depending on the individuals, could be a good or a bad thing. Either way, though, it would have no effect on crowding.

We always do say "desert island", which it clearly isn't (ref. luxurious palm tree). It's a *deserted* island. I suppose the extra syllable is too much for our generations.
