A creepy thought wormed its way on to my head as I worked on this solve. After completing the left feature and began on the right one, I feared the right one was going to be a hockey mask ala Jason (Halloween).

Solved the left half with no trouble but then had to add some Xs to the right half - and immediately saw what I had missed.
