Note: no matter how much experience we have solving nonograms, it is often helpful to use hints when we're stuck to study our weaknesses and improve. I did this many many times before I learned the last solving technique on this site, which was new to me. ;)

I don't get it. that was hard, and the statistic says the average time is 12 minutes... it took me 21 minutes and I did it fastest I can! somebody know if the statistic is real? because doing that puzzle without hints is impossible in 12 minutes.

Nonograms are used like arcade games in the Russian-language countries. They solve the same puzzle over and over, trying to get the lowest possible number of minutes. The statistics reflect these many repeated games.

I turn the timer off. Solving nonograms can be quite relaxing if you ignore the time.

On one hand it's a game and the amount of time to solve shouldn't be important. On the other hand the rivalry in life is all around us. We are genetically wired to defeat the other or at least yourself.
It depends how you look at it to leave the timer on or off.
