Charlotte is a spider who befriends Wilbur the pig. When Wilbur is in danger of being slaughtered, Charlotte and some of the other animals launch a campaign to try to save him, starting with her putting the message "Some Pig" in her web. Fern is the daughter of Wilbur's first owner. Templeton is a rat. He was voiced by Paul Lynde in the 1973 animated adaptation.

I loved watching this unfold so much. It took a while, just a lot of lines and dots, and then suddenly it started to come into view, and I was delighted!

I didn't know the story, I'll tried to found the book, but I only found the film. I don't know if you referred to the dead of Charlotte, because I surprised me crying for it!
