I think it actually tastes better when sipped from the bowl and that those are very silly rules of etiquette.

It's Japanese Ramen! In Japan, it is actually common to loudly slurp your noodles! Much different than the USA. :)

I just finished a big steaming bowl of ramen (the real stuff, not from a package). I used chopsticks for the noodles and a ceramic ramen spoon for the broth. SLURP!

Very neat and tidy soup for sure! I can never get my noodles that perfectly spaced in the bowl.
