I knew after the second hint and seeing a couple of the verticals space out that it had to be a pineapple. Almost all the hardest puzzles at this size are pineapples.

Very hard for a long time after the obvious initial steps. Took me 2 hours to get through the difficult part. Then it all really folds over quickly. Nice picture.
