This was my favorite fairy tale as a kid. You can imagine the pea under the mattresses, but the illustrations wouldn't show it. But now, you can see the single pea, and you can see how Stacy is thrashing about in discomfort!

I am sorry to hear that; that is far more than most of us have to deal with. But the idea that a flaw in the bed is responsible for our problems is something we can all relate to.

I used to call my youngest Princess and the Pea butt. I had to make her a special, thick seat for her car seat.
