Here's the thing; most couples taking a boat out for a little romantic canoodling are NOT going to bring a fishing pole much less prop it up in the boat.
Frankly this image could've benefited from less detail.

Don't be so negative, and do use the spoiler button. Most couples may not, you even may not, but this couple did, and it's as the title says. Moreover the pole adds the detail that makes the setting obvious, so artistically necessary as well. Beautiful, and well done!
