I still remember my first ride without training wheels. I also remember knocking out my two front teeth thinking it was a good idea to ride with no hands while my eyes were closed.

At that stage I was well acquainted with bandages and neosporin.

We used mercurochrome. I don't think neosporin was invented yet? BTW, did I mention that it all happened on my 6th birthday?

My husband gave his little sister a ride by letting her sit on his handle bars - she got her foot caught in the spokes - he went flying over the handle bars and lost two front teeth - ahhh those were the days before mandatory helmets / dedicated bike lanes / cars having to leave a 1 metre clearance when passing a bicycle. :):)

I did the same with my youngest brother except I hit the brakes and he went flying in slow motion. Now, that I think about it, our family had plenty of bike accidents. I guess with 7 kids the odds may have been against us. :D
replyYa' sang "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" all summer.
replyI'd forgotten mercurochrome. Was it orange or more red-orange? (Or plain red, or pink... Well, it has been a long time.)
My brother was coasting down a long hill and didn't manage to stop at the bottom. Not before he broadsided a passing police car, that is. No damage to him or the police, but I don't remember the state of the bike or the police car.

LOL! Once, I rode my bike so fast that when I came to a "T", I continued forward, hit a bump, and flipped over. My bike knocked me out. Ah, the things we do as youths.

I hope you got them back - or did you never learn to whistle? ;)

Speaking of Whistle, my brother was riding his with a whistle in his mouth and managed to break his front tooth. He spent years with a silver crown on his tooth.
replyVery nice tough little puzzle - tricky to start.
