As someone who has done thousands of these nonograms, I haven't found one that has challenged me in quite a long time. Until today! Thank you for this challenging puzzle :)

I always find it interesting when someone finds a puzzle I thought was simple to be challenging. Not because I'm such a great solver and anyone who thought it was hard just isn't very good... not at all. But because I wonder what route they took through the puzzle to change the experience so dramatically. Of course it happens the other way around, too. I've struggled mightily on puzzles before only for someone I know to be an equally experienced solver to pop in with a 'nice and simple, thanks!' and it boggles the mind! Simple or challenging, this one was fun.

That is really well said and thoughtful. I have seen this but hadn't put words to it. (Though it destroys the pride I feel when I easily solve something others found hard. Gee thanks. :-)

I don't know how people can do puzzles this size or larger without the X, way too many squares to keep track of in my opinion!
Then again, I haven't been playing these for a while, I'm not that good - Yet.

Well, you start by filling in what you know. Then, then you get a stubborn streak and vow not to give in, taking way more time than was ever necessary.
replyThis was the most enjoyable puzzle I have done on this site. I don't see the picture so well, but in the end I didn't care. What made it enjoyable was the variety of strategies and little "aha" moments hidden within. I must thank the creator for this little moment of joy in my day!
