Dibbling is the word you were looking for I think?
Dribbling has 2 meanings:
1) Manoeuvring a ball by one player while moving in a given direction, avoiding defenders' attempts to intercept the ball. A successful dribble will bring the ball past defenders legally and create opportunities to score.
2) The second usually results in damp and often smelly trousers!
