Chorton is right - giraffes are in a different family from bovids (which includes cattle, sheep, goats, and antelopes) but are with them in the ruminant group (an infraorder). Some rabbis have concluded that giraffes WOULD be kosher for Orthodox Jews to eat, except that since their population is now vulnerable, it is not moral to kill and eat them.
