Perry bought a quiet parrot from a pet store. When he got home, the parrot started spewing obscenities at him. Perry tried everything: whacking the cage, repeating positive words, even covering up the parrot’s cage, to no avail. Finally, Perry called the pet store & explained the problem. The pet store owner suggested that he put the parrot in the freezer for one minute to calm him down. Perry did that.
After 1 minute, the parrot was released, gently stood on Perry’s hand, and profusely apologized for his bad behavior. Then, in an equally respectful voice, the parrot asked, “If I may be so bold as to ask, sir, what did the chicken do?”
