The construction is simple with no need for advanced solving techniques. Still, the lack of grid-spanning rows or columns means solvers still have to put thought into solving this one. The most logical starting point does have the unfortunate disadvantage of giving away the image well before the puzzle is complete. While I'm not a big fan of that type of reveal, there is will some who appreciate it due to the subject matter. Those offended by the emerging image will be able to quit out without having to solve the whole thing.
The creator makes good use of the larger space to include details often lacking from smaller renditions of this controversial subject matter. And unlike the comments that are sure to come from this image, there are no politics at play here. The image is depicted clearly, cleanly and with no need for interpretation as to the artist's intent. I'm a fan.

A lot of theory for nothing! It's just a game.

Like you, I enjoy posting my opinion on the puzzles I complete. If you don't like it, don't read it.
replyI disagree on the first part of your comment...I almost finished the left hand side before having done much of the main (revealing) part of the image. I was convinced it was a shadow of a little old lady, looking to the right, so the rest looked like a confusing cage thing right up until the last click. Even then, I wasn't 100% sure what I was looking at until the "X"s were clear.

Fair enough. I began with the 2nd row and worked the upper right quadrant first, which gave away the image very quickly. I was wrong to assume that what I consider the 'most logical' starting point would be where other solver's chose to start as well. I hope you enjoyed the puzzle regardless.
