This wasn't easy until it was. Exactly like undoing what it is.

With all the white space and the long rows with very few blocks, this was a real challenge, though it didn't take any special tricks, just a lot of diligent searching to figure it out one pixel at a time. A lovely picture at the end.

Brilliant idea! It wasn't as difficult as I expected it to be but there were definitely some spots where I got thrown off.
