It's quite easy when you know...it's done by looking at wing feathers, but has to be done within their first day...

FTR - the feathering method only works with some breeds, because not all have different speeds at which the sexes wings feather. The only (close to) full proof way is the squeezing method, where you check for the tract bulb - which doesn't hurt them if you know what you're doing, but it's more than a tad creepy.
